9/20 Autumn Equinox Gathering in Raleigh

We will gather to celebrate and learn about our next stop on the wheel of the year- The Autumn Equinox

This is the start of the fall season and a day of harmony and balance between the light and the dark. Once the theme for our ritual and time together is decided , I will update this offering.

All of the seasonal holidays typically include some discussion of the history of the holiday, historic traditions, and ways to honor the themes in our modern lives. I often incorporate a craft and/or tarot. We will share in a seasonally themed herbal beverage too!

This is for you if…

  • You are witchy/spiritual or witchy/spiritual curious at the beginning of your journey

  • You feel alone in your nature spirituality or witchy practice and would love to have a sense of community with like minded people.

  • You are in the broom closet and want a safe space to come out amongst friends.

  • You have wanted to start a witchy or nature spirituality practice but you weren’t sure where to begin or things felt too woo woo or out there for you to connect to in a more mundane way. This event is beginner friendly, grounded, and approachable. The rituals, practices, or crafts we do are simple and accessible to people at any level and all experience is welcome. It is a space to learn in a low key, warm, and friendly environment that won’t overstimulate you. You can rest and relax while you take it all in and practice with us.

  • You’ve felt disconnected from nature and feel a calling to connect more deeply. Nature gives you a sense of grounding, rhythm, and feeling that you are connected to something larger

  • You are a busy person who wants an opportunity to slow down, relax, and embrace slower living by connecting to seasonal energies which provide an ebb and flow to our lives

  • You are overwhelmed and overstimulated by more traditional holidays and instead want to embrace a holiday season that feels more meaningful, deep, personal, ancient with more simple nature based practices

Date: Saturday Sept 20th

Time: 11:00am - 1:30pm

Location: Fallon Park in Raleigh, NC in Five Points. I recommend putting in the address 2412 Oxford Rd because that will take you to the parking all along Oxford road right near the entrance by the picnic shelter. The park is small and picnic shelter is easy to find.

I typically recommend people bring the following:

  • Water, Bug Spray, Sunscreen (we are in the shade though)

  • Cup for the herbal beverage (I will have extra available for you if you do not have one)

  • Journal and Pen

  • Anything to make you more comfortable (cushion, blanket) because we will be sitting on picnic benches

  • Check the weather and bring anything to make you more comfortable. We will be covered so we will still have the event in rain but if storming or severe rain we will reschedule.

  • There is no bathroom on site

  • Feel free to bring something to add to our sacred space so you can charge it up with all the goodness of the holiday and our energy on that day. Then you can take it back home with you as a reminder. Some people bring crystals, jewelry, totems, really anything!

  • If you have a tarot deck please bring it! I will have plenty of decks for us to review as well so this is not required!
